Straight Betwixt Two
Philippians 1:22-26
The Christian’s Conflict
The born-again Christian has been made perfect in Christ Jesus. But he has not yet been "perfected." Although the soul is saved, yet the flesh is not. It is up to the soul, the mind of the saved man, to bring his flesh into conformity to the will of God.
Examples of Selflessness
One of the hallmarks of the Christian faith is a natural desire to serve others, not for any expectation of reward from God, but in gratitude for all that the Lord has already done for us. Paul, Timothy, and Epaphroditus were three such selfless servants who ministered to the body of Christ for love of our Saviour and His church.
Psalm 103
I am the bread of life
To Live Is Christ
Now that I am saved, do I continue to live for myself or am I to live unto the One who redeemed me from my sins with His own blood? What is my “reasonable service” to the Lord Jesus? Do I just serve Him with my spirit or is my body involved in service to my Lord also? What are the things that hinder my walk with the Lord and how can I overcome them? Launching out from Philippians 1:21, Bro. Jayson Hill answers these questions with no fewer than a dozen cross-references from the Holy Bible to encourage the Christian to a holy walk with the Lord.
